Howdy, gang!
Deyvison and I have been working hard to finish the trade paperback to get it ready for print and I'm so proud of this one. It's easily the best book I've ever published and I cannot wait to actually hold it in my hands.
We've literally designed this from the ground up paying very close attention to every single little detail and I hope you'll be as excited about these previews as we are. We have a couple of things yet to get done, including all your names for the Thank You section,but we're almost ready to go to print. I expect to send all files to the printer next week either on April 22nd or the 23rd at the latest.
Speaking of the Thank You section this is a friendly reminder that BackerKit Surveys have been sent and they must be filled out by April 21st. The surveys are mandatory and if you don't fill them in a timely manner you do risk forfeiting your rewards.
I still have over 290 backers that have NOT filled out their surveys. That is a lot, folks. Please look for them in your e-mails and fill them out. If you have any questions or if you did not receive your Survey either use the link below or email me at [email protected]
I have a new graphic novel and Kickstarter launching in just a few days. One-Eyed Jack Vol. 2 launches on April 20th, next Tuesday, at 10am EST. And worry not, we also have volume 1 available as well for all of you that never heard of OEJ or missed our first campaign back in 2019.

One-Eyed Jack Vol. 2 is the second part in a four volume series that brings you an essay on humanity, morals and legacy using the Oct. 1st, 2017 Las Vegas shooting as the backdrop. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation creator and executive producer Anthony E. Zuiker, and Las Vegas born and raised, offers commentary on a number of issues surrounding the unfortunate and tragic mass shootings that continue to happen throughout the United States every year.
He wrote the original story which I'm adapting alongside artist Bräo into a graphic novel. You should really see Bräo's watercolors, they are just absolutely gorgeous.
DARE GRAPHIC NOVEL ALSO LAUNCHING ON KICKSTARTER IN APRIL!
I also have another book coming out this month as well. Pro-writers Michael Seltzer and Charles Borg have written this hilarious and unapologetic animation pilot titled DARE about supercop Lucious Daren in Los Angeles circa 2012.
We're still rushing to get everything ready for the launch and I will have more details in the future but please know I'm super excited about this one as well. I always wanted to work on a straight up comedy graphic novel and it was a true joy to partner up with Michael & Charles on this one to bring their vision from an animation project to comic book format.
As you can see there's a lot going on and I really appreciate your support towards my work. It's no secret I love Kickstarter and the reason is all of you - the backers. As long as you continue backing my projects, I will continue giving my best to deliver quality stories.

Hey gang!
As promised on my previous update today is April 1st, my birthday and the day I'm sending out all the BackerKit Surveys! This is the official start to fulfilling this monster Kickstarter campaign and it's probably one of the most important steps. All BACKERKIT SURVEYS HAVE BEEN SENT AND WILL BE LOCKED DOWN ON APRIL 21ST!!
And if you don't fill them out you won't receive any rewards included in your pledge tier - digital files too!
Yep, it's that important.
Not only we're doing a whole new book from scratch we've also taken the opportunity to revamp earlier issues!
I use BackerKit to tally up every single item we're sending to production and I also use BackerKit to distribute digital rewards, organize all the different shipments, print shipping labels and much more so if you don't provide your information on BackerKit you will NOT receive your rewards.
All of you, every single backer, should have received by now e-mails directly from BackerKit asking you to fill out the Surveys. They are easily accessible from the e-mails sent and pretty straightforward, all you gotta do is follow the steps and instructions. No sign in required.
I will lock down the surveys on April 21st in time to go to print and if you don't get them filled by then you do risk missing out on some of the most limited items. I'd ask all of you to fill those sooner than later so I can put in the printing order as accurately as possible.
If you haven't received your BackerKit Survey invite please follow these steps:
Keep an eye out on your Spam Folder and/or Junk Mail. E-mails will come either directly from BackerKit or myself (Felipe Cagno) and will say on the subject line Response Needed -- Get your rewards for The Few and Cursed: Crowsof Mana'Olana TPB.
If you don't spot them manually then try using the "Search" feature on your e-mail account page and look for either my name or BackerKit's.
If none of the above works then click the link below, hit the "Lost your Survey?" and input your Kickstarter registered e-mail when prompted.
*IMPORTANT: Make sure you are checking the right e-mail account. It is the same e-mail you used to register an account on Kickstarter.
On the very first screen backers will have the chance to upgrade or switch pledge levels. There is a little clickable "or switch your pledge level" just underneath the big green Get Started! button as pictured above.
If you would like to go for a higher tier the system will charge you the difference at the end of the process and if you pledged for one of the top tiers already but would like to spend the cash in a different way then the system will use the overpaid difference as extra credit to be used towards Add-ons.
You will also be able to add a number of other graphic novels, cards, collectibles and more to your pledges. I tallied up every The Few and Cursed product I had stored and made them available for purchase at discounted prices.Â
That includes the original series in single issues, the slipcase with original design, the spin-off anthology Chronicles of The Few and Cursed, The Few and Cursed: Shadow Nation, all our collectible cards, the coins, bookmarks and more.
Also available are all my other original comic books and graphic novels.
PLEASE NOTE:Credit cards are not charged immediately. They are only charged after the surveys lock on April 21st.
WHAT IF I PUT IN A PRE-ORDER LAST YEAR ALREADY?
About 50 backers put in pre-orders to reserve some of the items last year as soon as we wrapped the Kickstarter campaign. These orders will be merged with your current pledges, there is no need to add those items again.
I will manually combine both your Kickstarter pledges with whatever items you might have pre-ordered under your new BackerKit Survey sent out today.
Shipping Problems, Missing Rewards or any other issues
Glitches might happen. I'm prone to mistakes so if you notice anything out of place do not hesitate to either leave a comment on this update, shoot me a message or e-mail me at [email protected]
We did a smoke test with a few of you and it seemingly went alright, no big issues reported. Not that there's nothing wrong but at least nothing that stood out. If you have any problems filling out the surveys as well or adding items to your pledge I'm always here to help make this experience as smooth  as possible.
And because credit cards aren't charged immediately you can just add items at your convenience, finalize the order and if there's anything wrong with pricing or shipping, anything out of place really, we can correct it before any charges go through.
Look for original little stamps throughout the book! Something fun the designer Deyvison Manes cooked up to celebrate the world of TFAC \o/
I'm trying to cover any and all big questions in this one long update but obviously if there is still anything confusing do not hesitate to contact me. I might not answer right away but I usually get back to  everyone within 24 hours.
If you are a new The Few and Cursed fan there will be plenty for you to browse and add to your pledge, if  you are a returning backer this is the perfect opportunity to fill any gaps in your collection. Take your time, go through our stuff and always know I'm here to help make this experience as easily as possible.

Howdy, folks!
Just a quick reminder before we dive into the TPB's news and previews that the Kickstarter pre-order for The Art of The Few and Cursed Board Game is ending this next Thursday, Mar 11th at 11:59pm PST, we are really down to the wire.
There is a lot going on and I could not be any prouder of the work we're doing on this trade paperback, we're coming up with a whole new design, new stories and a number of new artworks for this book, all this made possible only by the success of the Kickstarter campaign and your generous pledges.
The initial plan was just to collect the original six issues, get a few trading cards done and go to print but the project really took off and now the whole team is scrambling to keep up. I think it is nowsafe to assume we are going to be a touch delayed but considering all the new materials inproductionwe're doing great.
At this point in time, originally, I was supposed to be prepping files to go to print and send out the BackerKit Surveys but please bear with me as there is a lot going on and I need to re-plan the timeline for fulfillment.
Here's the REVISED calendar moving forward:
March 10th - 31st: Production complete - stories, artworks and book design.
April 1st: My birthday and BackerKit Surveys sent out!
April 2nd - 15th: Files prep to go to print, pre-press and printing started
April 30th: Printing finished, cargo leaves China
June 15th - 30th: Cargo arrives in FL, fulfillment begins.
July: Fulfillment complete.
I'm being generous with the dates above, things might happen a bit quicker but that's not usually the case and I already apologize for being a couple of months late. Tardiness is never a good thing but as backers from previous campaigns will attest I will always prize quality over schedule and I think at the end of the day what I want is for you all to be impressed.

As you can tell from the previews we've really made good progress so far but there's still a lot to be done. I really think we will get everything in by the end of the month and I cannot wait to start sending the book to print.

As announced last week the PRE-ORDER campaign for The Few and Cursed Board Game Art Book has launched and is now accepting pledges!Â
Just a quick reminder that these are LIMITED, we're not printing to order so the only units left are the ones up for grabs right here on Kickstarter. Also your pledges are not collected until the campaign ends so really you are just reserving yourself a copy at this point.
And yes the book is hardcover and absolutely gorgeous!
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE TRADE PAPERBACK? ANY UPDATES?
Oh yeah, there are updates alright, folks. Deyvison Manes has already started working on the book design, we are really looking to do something fresh and exciting from scratch, we won't be reusing any of the design elements from the single issues.
These are NOT final but you can see the direction we are heading towards, I hope you enjoy them!

I've also received some finished artworks for some of the unlocked Stretch Goals items. What I'm previewing below are artworks for the mini-poster and a couple of collectible cards.

Hey everyone!
Here I am again with another update and on a monthly basis as promised. I know some of you get antsy to constantly hear from me but don't worry I'm always around and I will continue to offer updates every month as we get closer to fulfillment.
Before we get into all the updates and news of The Few and Cursed trade paperback allow me to share something really exciting that is happening next week.Â
Most of you already know Rock Manor Games produced a board game based on The Few and Cursed but perhaps not a lot of you know we've produced a companion art book featuring all the amazing art produced for the game, the process behind them, some insider info and more.
The book was printed alongside the game and we thought to ourselves why not offer the remaining units of the print run to Few and Cursed fans that might not have wanted to buy it with the board game but would like a copy anyway.
We are launching a Kickstarter campaign next week to basically use the platform as a pre-order tool. The campaign won't have much of a goal nor will they have different tiers, the idea is for everyone to go in, purchase a copy of the book and get it shipped as soon as funds and shipping addresses are collected.
Copies are LIMITED since we are selling the end of the run so make sure to get yours as early as possible and don't forget you won't be charged until the campaign ends anyway so putting a pledge in early is pretty much reserving your copy.

UPDATES ON THE TRADE PAPERBACK PRODUCTION AND EXTRAS
First and foremost I'm happy to announce I've locked down every single artist that will be producing all the brand new content we unlocked via the avalanche of Stretch Goals. We're talking about 19 artists producing pieces exclusively for the trade paperback or the items to be sent with every package (like cards, bookmarks, prints, etc).
That's a lot, folks, it really is.
Some of them have started turning in their layouts or finished pieces, some have yet to start, they are all top artists with a lot going on but as I always say I value quality over quantity so I like to give artists the time they need to produce their best work.
I won't go through all the names in a single update instead I will cover them as they turn in their work. Let's start out with JIAN GUO, the artist responsible for the stained-glass style mini-print that will be shipped with every copy of the book:
What you see above is the FINISHED ARTWORK and I must say I absolutely fell in love with it. I kinda wish I could find a glass artist to actually turn this into a window for my office. How coll would that be!?
Next up is the layout of one of the collectible cards that MEL MILTON will work on. Mel has done one of the cards featuring LaVerne for The Few and Cursed Shadow Nation and I couldn't pass the opportunity of having him paint Red as well.
What I love about Mel's work is his ability to blend a cartoony style with actual digital painting, it really turns out amazing and he is truly a master at it. Just remember what you are seeing below is just the layout:
The masterpiece above was done by artist GEEBO VIGONTE and is already with a good friend of mine and amazing colorist IVAN NUNES for the finished piece. Much like Mel's artwork this will be used as one of the collectible cards.
That piece turned out so beautifully that makes me truly wonder about a live-action film or TV show, it's so realistic, I could see this as a poster for something like that.
Last but not least I also must share this gorgeous art work done by EFFIX for yet another collectible card (we have a number of them included in every tier going out in the mail). This is finished and will be printed as is:
I'm sure I will have more to share next month but I hope everyone got excited about all these amazing previews of what's coming to you all with your copy of the trade paperback.
From my end I would like to update you all that I have completed the "321" script for the short story featuring the Redhead and I'm super stoked about it. I am already talking to a Guest Artist to work on it as Fabiano is already busy cooking up the new characters for TFAC Season 2.
I won't go into details but check out a sneak peek at Fabiano's work...
As you can see there is a lot going on and while everyone will be shooting to complete all the work by end of next month please be aware that fulfillment delays are more than a possibility at this point. Once we go to print we will need to wait about 5 to 6 weeks of transit between the goods leaving China and arriving in the US.
If we do make the deadline of going to print by the end of March or more accurately beginning of April we are already looking at fulfillment to start in June. I will continue to update you all on a regular basis but please bear with me as we go through the process.
